SAP BW Systems Consultants

 

Job Description / Overview:

SAP BW Systems Consultants are responsible for the SAP BW production and development environments. The positions offer the opportunity to support a
mission critical application. Duties may include data and source system analysis, data extraction and transformation, and database modeling and design.

Job Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain SAP BW systems environments for optimum performance and be proactive in identifying potential problems (environments include Development, QA,
Pre-Production, and Production).


Perform core BW functions:
* Analysis and systems design for development efforts
* Maintenance of data extracts and loads
* Performance tuning for queries, data loads and data access to optimize efficiencies
* Application testing of periodic vendor supplied maintenance packages
* Production support including on call rotation (24/7)
* Resolve problems and document issues and resolutions
* Works with BASIS and ISS to provide system support

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
* SAP data warehousing
* Strong systems analytical, conceptual, and troubleshooting skills
* Debugging and programming skills
* Understanding of database technology
* Ability to adapt quickly to new technology skills

* Experience implementing SAP R/3 and BW solutions by adhering to SAP?s standards and methodologies.
* SAP BW and/or BPS experience
* Experience with SAP Financial and /or HR modules

* Upgrade experience

 

* Self starter and goal oriented
* Excellent team skills
* Good oral and written communication skills
* BS or BA degree
