This position provides support primarily to Finance users of the Grass Valley SAP system (R/3 & BW). Will support and work with Finance users at all levels to identify & resolve issues with SAP Application Maintenance team, design new reports, explore better business processes, etc. Will also provide user support for other departments to understand SAP functionality and support implementation of best practices in SAP use.

 

? Works with business areas to understand problems and requirements with the system and recommends and develops specifications to resolve them.

? Prepares detailed functional specifications for development activities including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms. 

? Facilitates knowledge transfer, communication, and interaction between different functional organizations. Analyzes business processes and recommend SAP FI/CO best practices, including providing conceptual and detailed designs.

? Follows all design work and integration testing procedures, change control procedures (WRAP, DCRs, DLRs, DEX), uses standards, procedures, and practices in performing required work.

 

? Performs integration testing to insure that new functionality and enhancements do not adversely affect existing functionality.

 

? Trains end users on new enhancements or functionality as required and develops system user manuals.
