Description of Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for managing a major IT Data Cleansing project within the IT organization. Project teams consist of both dedicated and matrixed resources. Team size ranges from 3-10 members. Project management responsibilities include developing and managing a project plan, resource management, as well as status reporting to the Project Management Office.  Position will require interface with associates and consultants. Experience operating in a PMO environment is desired.

 

Three areas crucial to this position include:

1.  Leadership: Responsible for all aspects of implementation of assigned project and provides a single point of contact on those projects.

2.  Resource Management: Leads both technical and business analyst team members. Takes an active role in understanding complexities related to project advancement. Establishes clear guidelines for project deliverables and communicates performance through project reporting tools established by the PMO. Keeps users/management apprised of the project progress, and quickly escalates issues, which require management direction or resolution.

3.  Planning and Organization: Defines and adheres to project scope and objectives. Manages detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and weekly status reports.

 

 

Description of Application:

This is a data-cleansing project for a major SAP conversion. The PM manages data cleansing and early adoption of data standards tasks from the initial phase through conversion. The PM interfaces with all areas affected by the conversion projects (e.g. business owners, other interfacing projects and data specialist teams).

Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Manages execution of the project plan, ensures the effective use of project resources and coordinates change control activities.

Candidate will possess excellent project management, communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to adapt in a changing environment.  Successful project management and implementation experience on projects requiring conversion from a legacy system to a leading business software solution preferred. Also knowledge of SAP, EDI, MS Project, and Earned Value are preferred.
