Senior Analyst Production Planning/ Manufacturing

 

Summary:

 

Our valued client is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of the Senior Analyst - Production Planning/Manufacturing to be located in Denver, CO. This position is responsible for requirements definition, problem solving, user interfaces, configuration, testing, and application support of the SAP production planning modules. This position will have a part in the implementation of SAP to 43 locations globally. The lead analyst is responsible for supporting the manufacturing and planning systems through the full development life cycle including the interfaces to the legacy manufacturing business systems.

Responsibilities:Will be responsible for configuring PP/PP-PI modules of new system. Requirements gathering, proposal review, schedule development and tracking. Facilitate coordination between IT departments in support of business objectives. Independently escalate and direct resolution of issues that impede planned strategic progress. Work with end users to determine business needs/requirements for new/enhanced systems or applications, as well as identifying decommissioning opportunities. Define systems solutions to aid in achieving of business goals. Assist in the development of requirements, cost benefit analysis, and ensure that required capital projects are documented. Identify, champion, and implement enterprise wide solutions as well as best business practices with the goal of achieving processes considered ?best in class?. Simplify and standardize business processes and IT department solutions. Analyze the necessity for system enhancements and implement those enhancements Review and prioritize projects and enhancements on an ongoing basis. Participate in the development of long range plans and goals. Provide on-going functional support for end users in both SAP and legacy systems.

 

Requirements:

? BA/BS degree in business, engineering, or operations management with significant IT/IS coursework or training.

? Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience implementing SAP manufacturing / production planning.

? Experience configuring the production planning / manufacturing modules on at least two full-life-cycle SAP implementations.

? Considered an expert on MRP.

? Experience in Sales & Operations Planning

? Must have hands on configuration experience.

? Experience in Capacity Planning (rough-cut and detailed)

? Understands integration requirements between Production Planning / Manufacturing, Sales Order Processing, Materials Management, and Quality Management modules of a SAP. Experience configuring or using these other modules a definite plus.

? Advanced planning and optimization (APO) experience is a definite plus.

? Experience in characteristics planning a definite plus.

? Experience with batch management / lot tracking.

? Experience interfacing SAP to MES systems (xMII)

? Experience setting up BOM?s, Routings, and Recipes.

? Product Costing experience a definite plus.

? Willingness to become certified Six Sigma Black Belt

? Provide SAP configuration expertise by working with the business process specialists and document the functional expertise and knowledge

? Develop and document as-is/to-be business processes, configuration scripts, and other associated technical specifications from end user requirements

? Develop interface requirements

? Identify security requirements and validate the system roles and process controls

? Assist in the facilitation of end user training and system documentation

? Must be effective in meeting with users and management to define complex business requirements in sufficient detail to determine the appropriate SAP configuration or development required, or to document why the requirement cannot be satisfied by an SAP-based solution.

? APICS Certified a plus

? Ability to work with others efficiently and effectively in an ad-hoc environment

? Strong verbal and written communication skills

? Travel up to 50%
