The primary role of an SAP Consultant is to support medium to large engagement teams by providing hands-on technical expertise in the development and configuration of SAP module solutions. While often technical in scope, consultants also work closely with clients and must demonstrate individual technical and professional knowledge to ensure that the work products and deliverables are of the highest caliber to ensure client satisfaction. Also identifies, develops, and implements techniques to improve engagement productivity, increase efficiencies, mitigate risks, resolve issues, and optimize cost savings and efficiencies for clients. Candidates will be immediately deployed on a challenging client engagement and will have growth opportunities in multiple SAP solutions.

Requirements:

SAP PS (Project Systems) resource with good knowledge of SAP MM
Heavy SAP Project Systems experience with construction background, (retail store construction a plus)
Functional experience with:
General Contractor (GC) Bid Initiation, GC Bid qualification, GC Bid benchmarking, Change order (CO) initiation, CO work authorization, CO billing, CO approval, CO payment, CO reporting, GC Contract administration, GC contract Creation, GC draw payment, GC Contract Integration with the schedule, GC retention accounting, GC Contract close out process, and Contract reporting; all with appropriate workflow methods and SOX controls.
Significant prior experience as an SAP consultant is required, with strong preference for candidates with prior consulting skills and experience in one or more full-lifecycle SAP implementations. Proven competency in one or more of the following SAP modules; SD, MM, PP, PLM, HR, SEM (FI/CO), BW, CRM, QM and Enterprise Portal. Exhibit knowledge of integration points and the order in which these must be executed. Manager-level candidates should have strong team leadership skills and be able to define creative solutions and demonstrate initiative to lead teams/sub-teams through project challenges and identify add-on sales opportunities at a client site. Specific industry experience is not key in this role.

Strong track record of professional success is necessary, preferably in the Consulting Services arena.
- Candidates should possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Successful teamwork experience and demonstrated leadership abilities are needed.
- Time management skills are a must, as well as the ability to be flexible and creative.
- MUST be willing to travel extensively, up to 100%.
- College degree in a related area of study, with advanced degree highly preferred.
