SAP Security Analyst

The SAP Security Analyst is responsible for design, development and implementation of security standards throughout MeadWestvaco?s application and computing infrastructure.  The Security Analyst will identify possible security risks and work with the other IT departments, business units and Application analysts to resolve them. Application areas can include SAP R/3, BW, and APO.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide highly skilled technical assistance in planning, development and design of security tools and security access methods needed to protect the computing environment. 

- Maintain a broad yet high level of knowledge in business applications, access control methods, data management and database access, operations systems, network hardware, specifically related to security risks and issues.

- Install and configure any applications security software to maintain the proper access controls for users.

- Design and implement automated methods to centrally administer user access levels to information.

- Consult and partner with other technical services groups, IT application and business functional groups to enforce and verify compliance of security standards throughout the environment.

- Recognize and identify potential areas where security and access control risks may exist and implement/change policies and procedures as needed.

- Coordinate and implement with the Computer Operations any daily tasks associated with user administration.

- Provide high-level support for SAP application security solutions in production environment.

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor?s degree in a technical IT discipline or equivalent work experience.

- Four or more years experience working in the IT field.

- Strong application security knowledge of the following environments:  SAP, BW, and APO.

- Ability to interpret and execute against loosely defined objectives.

- Strong working knowledge of network architecture and protocols, operating systems, and directory structures, database security, business applications, and access control methods.

- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Strong Project management skills.

- Strong verbal and written communications skills.

- Ability to work in a team environment.
