Engel Consulting is currently seeking a Senior Java Developer/Designer to join our team. This position will be responsible for delivery at client sites in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. This is a six month contracting opportunity with a contract to perm option.

Responsibilities include:

? Develop web services and presentation layer following J2EE design patterns and standards

? Problem solve complex technical issues in the technology space

? Design and develop data access components

? Collaborate on design decisions with other developers and client team members

Job Qualifications:

? 5+ years of experience in Java design and development of Web based applications.

? Proficiency in web service development and design

? Proficiency in J2EE components

? Experience integrating web services with the front-end applications

? SQL query and stored procedure experience with DB2, Sybase, SQL Server or other relational databases.

? Proficiency with Struts

? Experience with WebSphere and WASD.

? Experience with MQ Series is a plus

? Systems design experience working with J2EE design patterns

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
