Job Description:

NetSurant is a business unit of INX Inc., focused on providing support and managed services solutions across four main disciplines:  availability management, problem management, configuration management and change management. These disciplines span across three core support offerings: SureManage for Network Infrastructure, SureVoice for IP Communications, and SureLock for Network Security. This Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst I position is part of the SureLock team. SureLock service offerings currently include: Managed Firewall, Network Intrusion detection and prevention services, Host-based intrusion prevention services and Security Information and Event Management  Services.


The SOC Analyst I position requires expertise in IP routing and LAN switching as well as strong knowledge in Cisco security solutions. The SOC Analyst I responsibilities include: answering help desk calls/emails/pagestroubleshooting customer issues remotelyresponding to network/security alarms and maintaining ownership of the issue through resolutionworking with customers to ensure their networks are secure and availableadministration and management of customer security devicesresponding to issues with SOC service delivery systems identified by internal QC systemdocumentationsome onsite work may be required

CCNA

Qualifications required:
- Min of 2 years experience in providing problem resolution for a Cisco network environment (preferably in an Operations Center environment working against SLA's)
- Strong experience troubleshooting Cisco networks and security systems, specifically routing, switching, Cisco PIX. (Cisco CSA, Cisco IPS and MARS a plus)
- Strong understanding of how to work with Cisco, Cisco TAC, and utilize Cisco resources effectively
- Excellent customer relationship and communication skills
- Work as part of a team environment; positive attitude
- Self-motivated; take ownership of responsibilities
- Thrive in an entrepreneurial atmosphere
- availability for after-hours pager and on-call status
- Travel requirements slight
- Based in Eugene, Oregon (no relocation available)
