Maritz Global Technology Services has a current Senior SQL/Java Developer opportunity available at our Fenton, MO headquarters.
Under the direction of IT Manager, this role participates in the analysis of system requirements and the development of internal and external customer solutions. They are responsible for providing data processing guidance, system design, oversee system testing, system integrity, coordinating implementation, maintenance, and user assistance on development of the customer solutions. At times, they may serve as the project lead providing direction and control on projects.

Scope
Leads development team that will deliver internal and external customer solutions. Plans, organizes, and controls all activities of the development of the customer solution. Focus is strategic and team-oriented.

Overall Job Responsibilities
-Under minimal direction, performs Lead Analyst duties including:
" Gathering data from analysis of system request
" Analyzes data and completes required documentation
" Prepares system requirements and system proposals
" Designs system using MGTS standard data model and components
" Develops test plan for development and implementation
-Thorough knowledge of standard data model
-Thorough knowledge of standard components
-Thorough knowledge of reporting tool set
-Provides recommendations on all customer solutions
-Understands and considers customer expectations
-Gives direction and guidance to development team
-Understands and applies Project Management skills as appropriate.

Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technology discipline
-Prior team lead experience preferred with strong interpersonal skills
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Project
-Excellent verbal and written communications skills
-Solid understanding of project phases and goals accomplishment (including
requirements gathering, analysis and design, release and versions control, and
deployment management)
-Strong analysis, design and implementation experience
-Skilled in relational database design and development
-Proficient in setting and managing customer expectations and dealing with diverse
groups within that organization
-Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and to adapt quickly to change
-Experience working with SQL and SQL server required
-Experience working with Java required
-Experience working with reporting tool set (XML Spy and Stylus Studio)
