SQL SERVER DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

The Database Administrator position is responsible for planning, implementing, disaster recovery, alerts, monitoring, performance, tuning, database backups, troubleshooting, system health & availability, database security, data integrity, and other support tasks related to the client's data repositories.  This role drives database support, administration, Security, DR, and Monitoring throughout the Enterprise in all SQL environments (DEV, QA, UAT, and PROD). This role works closely with the Enterprise Database Architect, the development teams, project managers, and IT operations to plan, prioritize and implement database-related changes. The database administrator is also responsible for ensuring standards, best practices, and change management procedures are followed for data modeling and Transact-SQL development (stored procedures, triggers, UDFs, DTS/SSIS).  Subject matter expert in SQL Server 2000 & 2005, Oracle 8,9,10, or 11), SQL, transact-sql (TSQL), PLSQL, stored procedure, trigger, UDF and data transformation services.

o Transact-SQL
o ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)
o Stored procedures, triggers, UDFs
o Ad-Hoc querying and analysis
