SQL Server 2000 DBA

Minimum of 3-5+ years experience as a SQL Server DBA with SQL Server 2000.  prefer 4 year degree (BS/BA)


*  SQL Server DBA experience including clustering, writing stored procedures, SQL scripts, triggers,  DTS packages, functions and transactions analysis, nderstanding of indexing and statistics (Query Optimizer).
*  Strong optimization, database sizing, capacity planning, backup, recovery skills 
*  Performance tuning/MS SQL Server development skills - SQL Profiler and PerfMon
*  Administration/implementation of new MS SQL Server database schema and objects 
*  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, especially with T-SQL
*  Troubleshoot, analyze, resolve, track, escalate and accurately document various technical problems
*  Maintain all documentation and procedures 
*  Strong communication, listening and writing skills
*  Customer service mentality and the ability to work in a team environment 
*  Experience working with end users and the ability to understand their needs 
*  Strong organizational and time management skills including ability to prioritize in a multiple task environment 
*  Ability to interact in a personal, positive problem-solving manner with a team as well as in a cross functional
