SQL Server Architect

Our client is currently seeking a SQL Server Architect for the installation and maintenance for a rotating 24 x 7 production system. The right candidate must have strong experience in indexing strategy, performance tuning and schema design.

Responsibilities:
Developing best practices, repeatable processes and documentation
Day-to-day operational activities such as break/fix, space management, backup and restore, replication management, performance monitoring and tuning T-SQL and database engines.
Mentoring developers
Project management

Requirements:
Expert-level skills with DTS, SSIS, and T-SQL programming
High availability technologies, including clustering
Advanced replication topologies and version upgrades
Auditing database configurations and security configurations
Designing and implementing SQL Server Reporting Services (enterprise solution level)
SQL Server including Microsoft technologies such as Sharepoint, Team Foundation Server, Operations Manager, System Center, and CRM
Management/Leadership skills to manage multiple projects and people
Communication and relationship building skills
MSCS or equivalent experience preferred
Replication and Microsoft Clustering preferred
MCDBA certification preferred
Vision to develop and advocate for a SQL Server enterprise architecture preferred
