A medical Publishing company in mid-town Manhattan is in need of a SQL Server DBA. The position?s primary duties will initially be a database programmer/administrator that will evolve into the department head as the department grows. You will be responsible for daily maintenance of subscription, sales & marketing, and vendor fulfillment databases.

Requirements:Must have at least 5 years experience writing SQL queries and stored procedures, with extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining relational databases using MS-SQL and associated tools.Must also have strong web programming skills (HTML, ASP, VB, JavaScript, Java, ColdFusion) for developing and maintaining web-based data access apps.Must also be strong in writing stand-alone apps in VB and Java.Knowledge of Windows networking, MS Access and FileMaker Pro desired.Applicant must have the ability to develop long-term projects while handling daily requests for data.
