Position Duration: Direct Hire


Qualifications:

3 to 5+ years experience as SQL Server DBA
1 to 3 years experience with Cognos Planning
1 to 3 years experience with Microsoft Reporting Services
1 to 3 years experience with Visual Basic programming preferred
Experience with data modeling
Knowledge of SQL performance tuning
Experience with XML syntax, schema, and transforms.
Proficiency with DTS programming
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Proven ability to work on multiple simultaneous projects
Strategic and analytical thinker
Flexible with and adaptive to the rapid and constant change within the organization
Previous experience in the restaurant industry preferred Job-Related Skills & Essential Functions:

Primary Responsibilities
Cognos 8 Planning Administration & Support:
Optimize overall architecture
Perform scheduled maintenance
Suggest best practices
General application administation
Database Administration:
Create & support ad-hoc queries, stored procedures, tables & views; and other basic Development DBA duties in Microsoft SQL Server
Create users, backup and restore databases, and other basic Operational DBA duties in Microsoft SQL Server
Other Responsibilities
Provide technical knowledge transfer as needed.
Gather and track end-user requests.
Maintain technical documentation as system modifications are made.
Create strategy options for meeting end-user needs.
Work with project development teams during the design, creation, data conversion, and implementation of new systems.
Recommend process improvement solutions.
Work effectively in a team environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
