Job Description:

As a SQL Server Database Developer/Data Mining Specialist you will work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment with top national and international brands.  We  are seeking an individual with a unique blend of information and software engineering experiences, combined with a sincere interest in applying object-oriented approach to data-warehousing challenges.  We are specialists in developing marketing databases and applying data mining techniques.  Responsible for the protecting the database infrastructure and assuring the quality and profitable maintenance, execution and delivery of short and long term technological database services and products.  Responsible for protecting SLD database centered intellectual property and database code base.

Skills and Qualifications:Ideally you will be experienced in development and implementing database applications using Microsoft SQL Server 2000.  Any exposure to  .NET framework development experience is a plus.  The range of technology solutions employed will be primarily focused on SQL Server with some tasks that may involve one or a combination of XML, web services, web applications.  The ideal candidate must be very well-versed in SQL Server development and administration, work well under pressure, work long hours when necessary, communicate effectively with others, multi-task efficiently, and understand how to prioritize.  Bachelors degree or equivalent and 3+ years specific experience. Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and/or 2003Very well-versed in writing stored procedures, functions, batch queries, transactional queries, dynamic queries and automationAny database modeling experience a plusAny exposure to ETL, data warehousing would be an asset.

Solid knowledge of the features of SQL Server 2000, including DTS packages required. Previous knowledge implementing and maintaining data warehouses in a multi-database server environment required. Excellent presentation and communication skills required. Knowledge of and experience with SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005 required.

Desired Skills:Any development using Microsoft .NET framework such as ASP.NET, XML and VB.NET a plusAny exposure to Business Intelligence applications such as Cognos a plusAny exposure to database marketing and CRM applications a plus.
