Description:

Directs and controls the activities related to data planning and development and the establishment of policies and procedures pertaining to its management, security, maintenance, and utilization. Sets and monitors standards. Advises Management on database concepts and functional capabilities. Serves as a technical resource to less experienced administrators.



Position Qualifications Required:

Qualifications
? Requires Oracle 9i or greater expertise
? Oracle 10G preferred and highly desirable
? Highly Experienced with Oracle RAC
? Demonstrated competency in Oracle RMAN
? Experience with Oracle ASM and Clusterware highly desirable
? Sun Solaris knowledge is required. Solaris 10 highly desirable
? Experience with Linux highly desirable. Preferably SUSE SLES 9 SP3
? Effective problem solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as with a team are essential.
? Effective written and oral communication and leadership skills are needed.

Education and/or Experience
? Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
? Five to ten years experience in Oracle required.
