SVP of Development

We are currently seeking a SVP of Development to head up a Product Line within our Enterprise Systems Management business unit at our corporate headquarters in Islandia, NY.

As the head of this product line you will direct, plan, control and evaluate all development activities for one of the ESM Business Unit strategic product lines with ultimate responsibility for the achievement of its financial and operational objectives. Candidates will partner with executive management to develop strategic plans and ensure the strategic goals are clearly understood and effectively and efficiently addressed by the team. The SVP will provide leadership, maintain visibility and accessibility, build relationships and promote communication with team by conducting regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions, traveling frequently to remote sites and encouraging an open exchange of ideas and information.

Qualified candidates must have 15+ years experience in software development and management within the software industry. Candidates will have 10+ years leading large development teams of over 100 and the ability to manage a P&L with revenue of over $100 million. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures and possess strong management and leadership skills including the ability to develop, mentor and motivate others within the team. A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or the equivalent experience is required and an MBA would be preferred. Candidates for this position must have the ability to travel up to 40% of the time to remote locations.
