Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN invites applications for a Systems Software Engineer or Sr. Systems Software Engineer at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Working in support of a multi-tier enterprise environment for one of the leading healthcare institutions, your primary responsibility is to provide system administration for the application messaging suite of tools including WebSphereMQ, WebSphereMessage Broker and Sybase Impact Interface Engine. You'll also design, test, and deploy interface engines to deliver both basic and complex application interface solutions. Problem resolution, workload monitoring, 24/7 on-call support, and assistance with long-term strategic planning are also duties you'll be required to perform.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in CS or equivalent experience
- Min. 2 years' experience supporting a messaging/interface engine (experience should include installation, configuration and management of a production enterprise environment
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Self-motivation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Experience with WebSphereMQ or Sybase Impact is a plus
- Knowledge of AIX, Windows and Linux is preferred
