In anticipation of projects upcoming with the State of California, Bull Services is looking to add experienced Business Objects Specialists.  Bull Services enjoys strong, long-term relationships with states like Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, and Utah.  We have implemented State Enterprise and Medicaid Data Warehouses in each of these states and have never lost a customer.  We are looking for individuals with the experience and skills to support Business Intelligence (BI) design, development, implementation and support projects (including standard reporting, ad hoc query, and advanced analytics) that will be partially satisfied through the use of the BusinessObjects XI Enterprise Premium suite of tools (including Crystal Reports and Dashboard Manager).

 

Primary Responsibilities of This Position:

Participate in information-needs analysis to identify data source modeling, ETL processes, querying and reporting solutions to meet customer needs.  

Participate in the creation and documentation of end-user BI requirements, including reporting and query requirements definition, technical design, programming, testing, documentation, training, and turnover planning.

Define, build, test, implement and maintain BI queries and reports (including dashboards, scorecards and other Business Objects capabilities) using:  BusinessObjects XI Enterprise Premium, Web Intelligence queries and reports, Crystal Reports and Dashboard Manager

Define, create, and maintain BusinessObjects Universes.

Work with the client, managers and key business and IT staff and provide data warehouse and ETL consultation services including research, project guidance, implementation recommendations, work plans, and estimated staffing and time frame estimates.

 

Requisite Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as excellent trouble shooting skills? combining both technical expertise and business savvy? and a sense of humor!

Ability to work comfortably with both technical and business users at all levels.

3+ years experience in data warehousing with SQL, developing BusinessObjects queries, reports, universes, and dashboards in a production environment and in BI system design, development or support.

In-depth experience with products in the Business Objects XI Suite including BusinessObjects XI Enterprise, Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and Dashboard Manager.

Experience with at least two RDBM (i.e. Oracle, Teradata, or DB2) as well as experience with logical and physical data modeling for data warehousing and/or training end users in the design, development and support of ad hoc queries and reports using Business Objects (including Crystal Report) products.

BS degree in computer science or related technical field.

 

Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Healthcare analytic and/or Federal or State Government program experience.

Programming experience with VB, HTML/DHTML, or Java.

Experience with SAS, Erwin, or ESRI (ArcIMS and ArcView)..

Experience with Teradata SQL or Teradata utilities such as FastLoad, MultiLoad, BTEQ, OleLoad, and TPump.

Compliance experience such as HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, Electronic Health Records (EHR), FDA 21, and CFR 11.
