Second Level Customer Care Representative

The first Family Dollar store was opened in Charlotte, NC in 1959. It was a relatively small, self-service operation located in a neighborhood convenient to low and middle income consumers. The merchandise assortment featured basic goods for family and home needs, and the no frills, low overhead, cash-and-carry environment provided good value at the lowest price points. As new stores opened in the early years of the Company's existence, it became clear that this merchandising concept filled a niche in the marketplace and held great promise for supporting a chain of much larger size.



Responsible for handling calls passed from the first level Customer Care Associates.  This includes hardware, software application, system authorizations, service issues, and store refrigeration equipment.  Candidate should be able to spot trends and identify problems that should be escalated to a higher level.  Candidate must have good communication skills both written and verbal and be able to handle 30 to 40 calls daily.  All calls must be logged into the system to keep a history of problems.

Excellent customer service skills, ability to multitask and complete projects.  Working knowledge of PC equipment and operating systems.  Retail experience is a plus.  Must be willing to work variable hours and weekends.  Opportunity to work for a growing company where you will document/troubleshoot issues from stores, corporate and distribution centers.  Prospects must demonstrate good customer service skills and ability to work individually or in a team environment to resolve difficult customer issues.
