Security Analyst (Part-time and Full-time)

Job Summary:

The position involves researching and reverse engineering different types of malware, including network worms, file infectors, Trojan horses, backdoors, bots, and rootkits. You will also be expected to understand and research the latest vulnerabilities and exploit techniques.

 

Essential Functions:

- Research in determining malicious websites/Phishing and Fraud sites.

- Research malicious code behavior.

- Participate in research projects with other team members.

- Building, maintaining, and developing tools for internal and external use.

- Reverse-engineer malicious code, Virus analysis experience is preferred.

- Ability to work under pressures and to meet tight deadlines.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Familiarity with TCP/IP, UDP, and HTTP protocols.

- Ability to understand Perl, C/C++, VBScript, Javascript.

- Experience programming and developing tools on Windows, Unix derived Oss.

- Experience programming and scripting with SQL databases.

- Experience with IDS signature development and/or analysis.

- Familiarity with common vulnerabilities.

- Knowledge of the internal system structures and APIs.

- Understanding of the Windows NT architecture, file systems, and the PE file format.

- Familiarity with executable packers and unpackers.

- Good knowledge of Intel assembly language.

- Familiar with disassemblers and debuggers (Softice, Ollydbg, IDA, etc) 

 

Education and Experience:

- Experience in this field desired along with Bachelors in Computer Sciences or equivalent practical experience.
