Security Systems Administrator

We are currently seeking candidates for a position at our location in Lakewood/Denver, CO.
SAIC provides support to the Department of Interior - National Business Center, including a Security Admin Team. The Security Admin team is looking for a Security Systems Administrator.
Required Skills: The position requires extensive experience in information security with z/OS operating systems (Mainframe)as well as expert technical knowledge of RACF with a minimum of 3-5 years experience. In addition, candidates must have TSO/ISPF and JCL knowledge as well as Vanguard Software, both Advisor and Administrator experience. Experience participating in major system conversions (e.g., z/OS upgrades, vendor software upgrades) is also required. Candidates must be knowledgeable in Radius software, and must have experience using it to administer/control VPN access via Cisco products (e.g., access to environments controlled by groups.) The position also requires experience with problem tracking software including HEAT and Remedy. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to apply information technology security concepts, methods, standards, principles and techniques. The candidates should also be familiar with and demonstrate experience with key government-wide IT security principles, practices, and standards (e.g.,FISMA, OMB and NIST). Position also requires the ability to provide on-call assistance 24-hours a day on a rotating basis (e.g., one week a month).
Candidates must be able to both work independently and as part of a team. The position requires excellent interpersonal and customer interface skills. Ideal candidates should be able to work effectively with non-technical customers as well as with technical staff in other IT areas, such as network and systems. Candidates must also have strong organizational skills and the ability to learn new concepts quickly. Successful candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Problem solving skills and self-motivation are also critical. Position requires that candidate successfully meets the requirements for moderate risk positions, which includes, but is not limited to a NAC (National Agency Background Check). Favorable results are required to support this contract.
