Security and Data Lead

CITY: Schenectady STATE: New York COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
U.S. Employee Services, a division of GE Corporate, is responsible for benefits administration and payroll for active and retired GE employees in the United States.

In this role, you will be responsible for the hands-on leadership as it relates to the access to and controllership of all applications. The current team is responsible for all PeopleSoft security; strategy, role creation, ID assignment, audits, etc. You will lead the team in initiating projects to roll 50+ existing applications onto the new security access and controls process. Once fully implemented, there will be 1000+ users for the various applications.

Specific Responsibilities:
*Provide work direction to employees and consultants
*Driving security and data privacy strategy across USES for all Peoplesoft, Legacy systems, and other internal database applications
*Work with USES supplier managers to drive data privacy adherence at our suppliers
*Provide leadership oversight for the design, development and implementation of security roles for our active payroll and pension Peoplesoft implementation
*Develop and implement a standard methodology to "onboard" applications/systems
*Responsible for managing the ongoing requirements of our 1000+ users
*Ensure data privacy guidelines are understood and enforced at all levels of the organization
*Lead and implement any required legislative data privacy requirements
*Deliver on-time results for critical security projects as required

Qualifications/Requirements:
*Four-year college degree in business or computer related discipline or equivalent experience
*Minimum 3 years proven ability to lead, influence and deliver results in a highly matrixed environment
*Minimum 3 years proven project management experience, managing moderate to large sized technology projects
*Demonstrated ability to influence others and make tough decisions
*Strategic thinker. Experience in setting strategy and driving solutions
*Strong oral and written communication, and facilitation skills
*Demonstrated analytical and problem solving abilities
*Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
*Thorough understanding of the data privacy laws and regulations
*Security or data privacy administration experience

Desired:
*Peoplesoft HRMS, Benefits or Payroll applications experience or demonstrated success in development and implementation of security with Peoplesoft software
*GE Leadership program graduate (IMLP, FMP, etc.)
*GE Six Sigma Quality or equivalent quality experience
