Senior ADP Specialist (5087)
Successful candidate will support the Engineering Division of the Air Force Human Resources Systems Program Office at Randolph AFB, TX. Engineering Division supports and sustains existing legacy enterprise-class human resources systems while planning new and upgraded systems. Duties will be of a diverse and changing nature depending on the requirements of the Government. Position requires interaction with many external and internal organzations.
Specific duties can include:
Analyze and document information technology engineering issues to increase reliability and performance of software systems. Investigate issues to reduce software/hardware defects. Perform activities that include development and verification of proposed systems functionality, interface analysis and site preparation. Interface with customer(s) to identify and verify user requirements.
Assist in production of architectures which meets user needs; document planned and existing systems, determine deficiencies, and develop/recommend alternative solutions. Analyze, evaluate and document legacy/future systems including database documents, schemas, architecture, design and programming methodology compliance. Provide technical inputs to proposal documentation and participate on source selections. Analyze risk and propose mitigation strategies. Execute technical studies, create white papers, etc... to provide information to support decision makers.
Experience Required:
At least ten (10) years of directly related experience either as a team member or as a single contributor in defining/managing enterprise-class IT systems. Experience with Oracle ERP and Databases required. Demonstrated ability to analyze and understand complex management, organizational, and business process problems. Well versed in improvement strategies and actions. Advanced written communications skills and the ability to explain highly complex technical issues in understandable terms. WebSphere experience a plus.
