Responsible for planning and leading initiatives for enterprise architecture in support of business operations.

Essential duties to include, but are not limited to: Provides specific technical input to discussion for strategic planning on enterprise architecture. Participates in the design of the enterprise architecture. Plans and coordinates implementation of new technologies for applications, infrastructure, processes and procedures. Provides technical guidance and leadership to the technical architects in the organization. Performs other duties as assigned.



BS/BA in Computer Science or Information Technology required or equivalent experience. Masters degree preferred. 8+ years of professional level experience in information systems development and management required and 5+ years of technical experience at a senior/lead level. 3+ years of technical experience leading enterprise integration technical initiatives. Experience in multiple IT disciplines is preferred. Detailed knowledge of the enterprise architecture plan, information systems plan, and Company business plans required. Knowledge of a variety of technologies and demonstrates a mastery of leveraging that knowledge when participating in strategic decisions required. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills required. Excellent organizational, analytical and technical skills required.

 

Specific technical experience in some or all of the following desired: Demonstrated expertise in either IBM Websphere Application Server version 5.x or above (6.x preferred) or WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker version 5.x or above; experience with other integration, process and workflow solutions is a plus. Experience with WebSphere MQ. Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture and its technical implementations, including, but not limited to, XML, Web Services and BPELSolid understanding of object-oriented design priciples, design patterns and component-based developmentSolid understanding of Software Architecture principles and techniques, including enterprise integration patternsDemonstrated ability to collaborate within a team with both technical and non-technical team membersExperience in managing technical implementationsFamiliarity with Unix and Windows-based distributed platforms as well as mainframe platform integrationExcellent communication and technical documentation skills, spanning technical and management audiences - for example, able to communicate designs and approaches with UML modeling notation as well as PowerPoint Demonstrated ability and willingness to mentor others.
