Senior Applications Administrator

General Purpose:

The Senior Applications Administrator maintains, monitors, and upgrades the application installations that comprise the foundation for core business applications.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Coordinates the installation, maintenance and upgrade of Fiserv Investment Support Service's core software applications.
Researches, evaluates, installs, and configures hardware associated with the relevant application. Maintains the hardware, including upgrades, additions, etc., with respect to the application.
Monitors production systems and provides on-call 24x7 support for production related issues. This may include the maintenance of the application itself or the correction of damaged/corrupted data within the file structures.
Serves as a consulting source for application installations, support, and upgrades.
Continually analyzes the application using debugging tools, error logs, scripts and backup reports in order to optimize performance.
Documents the application implemented at Fiserv Investment Support Services. Such documents include operations turn-over documents (backup, restore, troubleshooting, etc.) as well as diagrams, procedures and diagrams for support, error logs, end user clients, etc.
Evaluates software architectures produced by vendors to be used in production by Fiserv Trust Services.
Provides second and possibly third-tier support to I.S. Technical Support, operational DBA's, and others on customer-related problems. Responsible for the documentation of problem resolutions in Clientele.
