Senior Architect

Clearly, we are well positioned for the future. We are currently seeking a Senior Architect to join our BSO Harvest team at our offices in Houston, TX. This position may also be available to our Plano, TX location.

The Senior Architect will drive abstract user interface requirements gathering and translate them to crisp software architectures and designs. Candidates will define user interface architectures, design components and define development plans for J2EE web applications. Qualified candidates will provide high-level designs and prototypes based on requirements and identify and resolve design flaws early in design life cycle. Provide technical oversight and leadership by certifying high level and detailed design documents, providing expertise and guidance in the diagnosis and resolution of issues. Interface with other CA and external technical committees and standards bodies. Candidates will participate in vendor selection for third party tools, technologies, products. Drive innovative ideas and help define an evolutionary roadmap for a modular, extensible and scalable user interface architectures and frameworks. Serve as the pragmatic visionary to translate concepts to value proposition driven products via a strong software development methodology.

Qualified candidates will have 10+ years experience architecting web applications using the following technologies is required. JSP and JSF technology along with J2EE and the use of Enterprise Java Beans is a must. Strong working knowledge of web applications frameworks such as Jakarta struts and programming languages Java, C++, XML, XML parser is preferred. Candidates will have knowledge of relational databases and scripting languages as well as the following development tools (RUP, Extreme and Agile. A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent experience is preferred.
