We are currently looking for the best talent available for a Senior Business Analyst ? Manufacturing Systems with a proven track record in technology based solutions for an international corporation.  This position requires both strong technical and project management skills and is located at our office in New Britain, CT.

 

Major Responsibilities:Work closely with the Operations leadership and manufacturing plants to identify areas of opportunities to leverage technology to drive efficiencies that will reduce cycle time, increase inventory turns and provide productivity improvements.Drive standardization among the Tools group manufacturing and supply chain arena to simplify and standardize processes in preparation of Stanley?s Global Platform 2010 initiative. Lead the transformation of the IT support team from support focus to value focus.Liaison between the Business teams and IT teams to prioritize and execute systems activitiesWorks closely with management to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs, then translate these needs into system requirements and design specifications; refine conceptual systems design requirements into the technical design.Develops plans, obtains the necessary approvals, and implements technology projects to ensure that goals are accomplished within prescribed time frame and cost.Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout project lifecycle.

 

Essential Skills:Individual must be a results driven self starter focused on providing value to the businessProven track record in successfully implementing technology solutions in the area of production planning, manufacturing, product costing and shop floor controls in a discrete manufacturing environment.Familiarity with Lean manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma and other methodologies for continuous quality improvementSuperior project management skills; experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors, ability to analyze projects needs and determine resources needed to meet objectivesMust have strong understanding of software development process, including requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools and technologies, release and version control, contemporary testing methodologies, and deployment management.Thorough knowledge of ERP systems and product flow and associated transactions in a manufacturing environmentMust have strong analysis, design, and implementation skills to solve complex business problems with pragmatic solutions. Ability to drill down to the root cause of recurring issuesMust have strong project management skills including experience in managing and coordinating cross functional teams throughout the project lifecycle to deliver innovative and cost effective solutionsProject management skills / Six Sigma / Kaizen & Continuous Improvement experience a plusStrong interpersonal skills ? Ability to work with peers and management teams at all levels of the organizationMust have strong communication skills ? must communicate well with functional leaders to understand improvement opportunities and partner with various disciplines in support of creating a more controlled and efficient work environment

 

Preferred Skills:Strong hands on functional experience in a manufacturing role.Familiarity with packaged ERP systems ? BPCS and SAP a big plusWorking knowledge with a well established IT development methodologySix Sigma Certification (Black Belt preferred) or similar certification

 

Minimum Experience:

Minimum of 8+ years experience; 5+ years in a manufacturing & 3+ years in an Information Technology role

 

Education:

BS in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
