Senior Business Analyst - IS Standards

The Edward Jones Information Systems (IS) division is seeking an individual for a Senior Business Analyst - IS Standards Analyst. This person will be responsible for defining the structure and processes around IS standards, facilitating the development of IS Standards, and operating as a liaison with other standards groups in the firm.

Key responsibilities include:
-Facilitate the process of identifying and obtaining approval and prioritization of IS standards.
-Facilitate the development and maintenance of IS standards (including related content) and the processing of Requests for Variance so that users always have access to information that is accurate and easy to find.
-Provide expertise in the methodologies, standards, and technologies necessary to ensure the development and continuous improvement of IS standards.

Responsibilities:
-Develop relationship with business units supported.
-Work with business units on the use/application of tools, solutions and systems.
-Understand the business unit's mission, responsibilities, philosophy and priorities.
-Identify improvement opportunities and solutions Follow systems development lifecycle SDLC methodology.
-Evaluate potential impact of changes on an enterprise wide level.

Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, etc. preferred or equivalent experience in information systems.
-Three or more years experience in a business or standards analysis role.
-Understanding of systems development life cycle, hardware environment, data management systems, operating systems and network architecture.
-Good project management, planning and data management skills.
-Experience in financial services industry is preferred.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Excellent organizational and time management skills.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to work in a team environment and/or as an individual contributor, as required.
