Senior Business Analyst - Must have exp w/ gas pipeline scheduling & accting applications

Enbridge Energy Company, Inc, a leader in crude and natural gas transportation, gathering, and processing, is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst for our Houston, Texas office. Responsible for configuration, upgrades, customization, optimization, training, and user support of software utilized in the management of natural gas assets.

 

Specific duties include:

? Design requirements analysis, acquisition, installation, and documentation of technology.

? Provide production Business Analysis support for the Enbridge assets product suite.

? Monitor to provide proactive responses to problems. Determine and document user business requirements.

? Evaluate available applications and provide recommendations to business users.

? Install and configure applications. Second tier support, maintenance, troubleshoot and repair problems.

? Third tier support coordinating with vendors for problem diagnosis, resolution and updates. Provide user training.

? Provide 24 x 7 on-call support when required in conjunction with the Resolution Center staff.

? Maintain strong working knowledge of current technologies deployed in the organization.

? Empower groups to perform duties and meet business deadlines with greater efficiency and reliability.

? Configure and transition new acquisitions into existing and new applications.

? Coordinate and lead maintenance and upgrades for hardware and software for applications as required to maintain performance, reliability and availability, including growth and obsolescence.

? Specify and design modifications and enhancements as required by users.

 

Qualified candidates will possess:

? Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related discipline., 5 or more years overall IT experience personable, and able to work effectively with demanding users

? 2 or more years experience with gas pipeline scheduling and accounting applications, 1 or more years experience as IS business analyst.

? Experience using or supporting TransEnergy preferred. Experience using or supporting Quorum (TIPS), Quorum (QPTM), Quorum (CM) software a plus.

? Proficient with SQL, Proficiency with Access reporting a plus.

? Experience developing information technology using Visual Basic or PowerBuilder a plus, Strong knowledge of natural gas transportation business.

? Strong understanding of information technology and its application to solving business problems
