Senior Business Analyst - SAP

Job Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a four year degree or equivalent with 10 years of applicable experience. Candidates with knowledge of SAP, and experience with SAP in a manufacturing environment are encouraged to seek this opportunity. This position will serve as a Manufacturing Systems IT Analyst. The responsibilities consist of but are not limited to translation of manufacturing strategy into IT plans and solutions.


Consults with and serve as technical liaison throughout the lifecycle of projects between Business Process Owners, Manufacturing Project Leads, and Sr. Managers on Manufacturing Systems needs, opportunities, SAP education, and possible system or process changes.


Produces and/or coordinates requirements definition, documentation, and possible application development for complex enterprise-wide initiatives. Shop floor as well as manufacturing operations business application knowledge and experience in a SAP environment required.


Responsible for performing advanced levels of application design, procedure development, testing, documentation, implementation and/or training with new or existing IT technologies.


Facilitates retirement, renovation and/or replacement decisions for IT systems applications. Coordinates with others to set priorities for demand management activities. Develops detailed quotes for small to mid-size IT initiatives. May provide direction for IT and vendor resources in the development of quotes.


May serve as Project Lead for opportunity development, and will lead research and analysis of system problems as necessary. Negotiates agreements regarding final requirement changes, issues and scope changes to applications. Engages the business when changes will result in schedule and/or significant scope revisions to the project. Will work closely with the Manufacturing Systems Relationship Manager in demand management of requests, opportunities, and other work flowing into Applications Development. Participate in development of organizational change management activities associated with individual projects to insure the adoption of new or changed processes.
