We are currently seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Senior Business Intelligence Administrator at our corporate headquarters in Kansas City, MO.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Work independently and coordinate Business Intelligence staff to gather data requirements for data marts, data warehouse, and reporting solutions, setting timelines and project milestones to meet initiatives as directed by Manager.
Utilize Microsoft Access and SQL Server Reporting Services reporting tools and be instrumental in recommendation and implementation of additional systems for reporting, OLAP/Analysis, ETL, and other tools pertaining to job function. Recommend reporting tools after comparing matrix of business needs to cost and vendor comparison information.
Oversee and guide documentation of ETL/reporting processes, and maintenance of data dictionary definition set for reporting. Keep Manager up-to-date on current status of documentation.
Be actively involved in the production and implementation of complex reporting schema, based on requirements from the business to meet large set of reporting needs.
Oversee and implement the migration of Access reporting tools to SQL Server Reporting Services without interruption to business reporting needs.
Actively involved in the lifecycle of corporate data, recommending intelligent process, storage, retrieval, integrity, and modeling to maximize use of data. Advise to create a new data structure or representation of data to allow greater accountability in the company from a compliance/licensing perspective on broker licenses.
Job Requirements:
Qualified candidates must have the following:
Requires 6-10 years of reporting, OLAP, and/or analytics experience. Mortgage industry, data analyst, and development/DBA experience will be taken into account to substitute for less robust BI administrator experience.
Analytical skills, including research skills, ability to interpret data, ability to conceptualize, ability to analyze information.
Ability to work quickly, accurately and with attention to detail in a high volume environment.
Leadership skills, including strategic planning skills, goal setting skills, assessment skills, collaboration skills, and complex decision making skills are required.
Interpersonal skills, including verbal communication and listening.
Must have working knowledge of MS Word, Access and Excel.
Written communication skills, including business writing, report writing, summarizing, and editing skills.
A High School Diploma is required, with a Bachelor's degree in CIS/MIS or similar preferred.
