Senior Business Systems Analyst

Our client, one of the world's largest financial services firms, currently seeks Senior Business Systems Analysts for positions in Herndon, VA.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:Will develop test strategies and execute complete and thorough systems test to achieve on-time implementation of all projects; will be assigned the more complex projects, and those projects that have significant impact to the company financials or regulatory compliance (i.e. disclosures); must be able to simultaneously work on multiple projects and/or projects impacting multiple systems; will independently perform the end-to-end analysis necessary to develop comprehensive and effective test strategies. The process includes developing test plans, creating test conditions, scripts, and data to support the test; generating expected results, executing the test plan, check-out and validation of test results, identifying and documenting problems using an automated test tracking tool. Coordinate the evaluation and resolution of PRs. Identify systems test issues and coordinate resolution and/or escalate to the manager as neededWill independently perform the analysis of detailed project scope documents for the purpose of establishing a thorough test approach and plan. Work in collaboration with various areas of the organization, identifying additional stakeholder requirements, and preparing project plans and management reports. Manage the test project utilizing a dynamic plan that ensures that key stakeholders continually understand deliverables, timing, ownership, critical path predecessors and dependencies for successWill be expected to lead the analysis of complex production problems and isolate the root problem in order to develop feasible and timely solutions while collaborating with the business partners. This person will be seen as the ?go to? expert for systems and issues analysisWill be a resource for junior team members and is expected to mentor the level 4 employees; will also be expected to cover for the manager when the manager is absentQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree in Business or related fieldAdvanced accounting degree or certification is highly desiredProven Project Management strengthProven technical knowledge of mortgage products such as: amortization and ARM payment and rate calculations and their systemic impact are requiredMortgage Banking knowledge, especially Investor Reporting experienceAdvanced Systems Test Methodologies skillsAdvanced Automated test tracking tool Clear Quest experienceIntermediate PC skills that include use of spreadsheets, word processing, presentation development and test managementStrong leadership skills are required.
