Research and Development

Primary Objectives: Design, develop, document and maintain high-quality software on-time that meets and/or exceeds requirements.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Analyze requirements for new products/product enhancements
Produce designs based on the analysis. Implement the designs into a complete product -Design, develop and maintain high quality software applications using the latest technologies and innovations in a timely manner.
Ensure that development is completed per RFC standards.
Thoroughly test code and overall application, and document appropriately.
Thoroughly document changes and/or new features to software in a consistent, concise manner
Collaborate with other functional areas such as Quality Assurance and Documentation to aid in thorough testing and documentation efforts
Research new technologies as appropriate
Function as project lead on specific tasks as required
Provide assistance and/or mentor other developers on design and development issues -Continue to enhance technical skills and product knowledge
Diligently share knowledge and expertise with others
Mentor less senior developers
Supervisory responsibilities as required, may lead a team to accomplish the above


Qualifications
Masters degree in Computer or Information Science, or Electrical Engineering, or 5-8 years equivalent related experience
An additional 3 plus years of programming in C/C++ on Windows platform or an equivalent combination of education and experience; .NET experience a plus -Demonstrated knowledge of ASP or ASP.NET
A thorough knowledge and solid experience in Windows 98/2000/XP/NT programming. -Knowledge of network and systems programming
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated creative problem solving skills
Ability to organize and maintain complex data objects
Proven knowledge of development methodologies for the Microsoft Windows operating systems including MFC and WIN32SDK.
Demonstrated knowledge of WINSOCK and TCP/IP fundamentals.
Ability to work both independently and with a team
