Senior Cad Designer

Senior Cad Designer Description: Volt is looking for a talented Senior CAD Designer to join our team. This is a 6 month contract with our client located in Hillsboro, OR.

All candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.

Drive CAD layout for desktop and mobile board platforms using Cadence Allegro 15.x tools.

Work closely with Design Engineering on board layout, support design release requirements using CAD layout tools/processes





Requirements:
5+ years experience in complex circuit board layout using Cadence tools

Have completed and taped out numerous fabs. Have limited experience on 4 Layer brds and dense placement. Be a quick starter and willing to learn fast in a rapidly-changing environment.
Mid -SR Level Skills: all above plus: Measurable experience in multiple DFM environments. Experience with 4-10 layer boards. Can route most complex designs with little training; assistance in scripts and Allegro navigation may be needed. Have worked jointly with design and manufacturing to resolve complex issues.

Extensive experience with DDR2, FSB, Signal tuning, and dense placement. Have lead teams of CAD designers thru complex board design efforts. Negotiate and resolve difficult issues with design and manufacturing engrs. Can simply take a set of requirements and layout boards with no required Allegro training; strong skills in script creation and navigation through Allegro.
