Senior Configuration Manager - (L-3 GSIMS23778)

Multiple projects focused on building financial systems that connect the Agency's internal systems to commercial industries though the utilization of the Internet.

MANDATORY SKILLS: Performing configuration identification, change control, status accounting and auditing of all baselines.
o Leading the efforts for CM practices and improvements, and leading configuration policy and procedures.
o Ensuring the CM policies, processes and procedures are being followed.
o Assisting in the development of system testing and integration procedures.
o Providing training information to the team on CM practices
o Updating CM documentation and presenting technical briefings.
o Preparing agendas and minutes for the Change Control Board meetings.
o Reviewing reports and studies of program operations to ensure that requirements are met and that rules and regulations are followed.
o Supporting the project tram throughout the design, development, integration and maintenance activities involved in software upgrades.

In addition, candidate will be required to perform project management duties, such as:
o Lead engineering activities for relatively small complex projects and support the preparation of cost and schedule estimates for those types of projects.
o Candidate will be required to plan and schedule technical phases of a mid-sized project by coordinating the efforts of technical support staff.
o Candidate should have detailed knowledge/experience in the Agency's Agile development PMF process to effectively demonstrate the ability to define software development tasks based upon requirements and forecast manpower, dependencies, deliverables and schedules associated with the tasks.
o Candidate must be able to translate mission requirements into technical programmatic plans.
o Contractor must demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, version MS2000 or later releases.
o Candidate shall demonstrate good organizational skills, knowledge of the J2EE development environment, as well as strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications shall include demonstrated experience with providing IT solutions to end-users across a wide variety of functional areas as well as minimum of 5 years experience in software engineering and applications development.
