We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and talented individual for the position of Sr. Customer Support Specialist in Middlebury, CT. Reporting to the Manager of Global IT Customer Support, this position is responsible for ensuring the quality of the day-to-day service is delivered by the Support Center by providing an advanced level of technical expertise in resolving problems. Performs a leadership role by providing direction to the Customer Support Specialist. Manages to conclusion the problem resolution process between the end user community and all processing technologies within the IT Department.
Key Responsibilities:
?Resolves complex problems for the end user community as they relate to the mid-range, PC/LAN, Unix, Citrix, SAP, and telecommunications technologies.
?Ensures that an incident report is maintained containing accurate and complete information for any unresolved problems. Follows through on problem resolution with the appropriate application or technical support area or outside vendor until completion.
? Initiates and maintains strong relationships with software vendor support centers in order to resolve complex end user problems.
? Performs security administration for the mid-range and LAN processing platforms.
? Informs IT management of any changes or abnormal conditions that might adversely affect service to the end user community.
? Provides a leadership role by assisting other Customer Support staff in resolving problems.
?Conducts daily updates to discuss problems and changes that affect the end user community and the IR department.
?Takes the initiative in documenting Customer Support procedures and training others in the use of those procedures. Minimum documentation requirement is 25 solid additions per analysts to the knowledge base per year.
Qualifications include:
? Must have 3-5 years of prior work experience.
? Must have advanced knowledge of a multi-platform computing environment including mid-range, PC/LAN, and Unix.
? Must have an advanced knowledge of Windows, DOS and the Microsoft Office software products.
? Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
