Senior Data Architect

This position is for a Senior Data Architect/Modeler for the HOMER program and needs to be filled urgently. This person should have extensive experience of enterprise data modeling. This is a short term contract-t- hire option; but candidates interested in joining as fulltime employees are preferred. The Architect will be responsible for data architecture and the creation of an Enterprise Data Model for the HOMER application platform. The Architect will lead a team of Database Modelers to design and develop the data dictionary and data model as well as set data architecture standards. This position will work closely with an off shore development team to communicate the model to them, incorporate changes, and co-ordinate physical database creation.

Candidates must be able to lead the team to identify causes and implement solutions to business problems in a multi-functional project (assessing and communicating the impact of technical issues on the business). This position must perform the functions of a hands-on data modeler/data architect and lead data modelers in their daily workflow, project assignments as well as track and assign goals and objectives. This position must manage data architecture of the projects within an assigned business unit or corporate department and collaborate with company customers, staff members, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders to define detailed customer requirements and system interfaces to include assessing available technology and developing and presenting solutions. Candidates must have expertise and knowledge of C/S systems utilizing Relational DB architectures in a distributed systems environment. Candidates must understand the procedures and expected system performance associated with the architecture choices, while seeking ways to collaborate with other IT members. It is absolutely essential for this person to work hands-on in large scale enterprise database modeling.
