Title: Senior Data Mart Engineer

Location: San Mateo, CA

Compensation:

Job Description:

We are launching the next phase in the company's growth and are looking for an experienced Datamart Engineer with a database/data modeling/data warehousing development background.

Job Responsibilities:
? Design & develop our client's data mart
? Identify requirements for data to be transformed or corrected and build data models
? Work with Product Management and Engineering to ensure data model design meets objectives

Functional/Industry Knowledge:
? 8-10 years of experience with a focus on database design or data modeling
? 3 years of experience with working as a database applications software developer, database administrator, a data modeler or database designer

Should have an understanding and experience in:
? Designing Star Schema & Data Cubes
? Ability to perform data transformation from production database to data mart
? Concept of normalization and de-normalization
? E-R diagrams
? Documentation (such as producing data dictionary, data flow diagrams etc.)
? Experience with BI tools such as Business Objects
? Strong in SQL scripting and data mining languages such MDX
? Tuning and optimizing reporting environment
? Analyzing the impact of schema changes in production on reporting/Data mart environment
? Ability to know and explain the purposes and uses of conceptual, logical, and physical data models
? Experience with database implementation, database application development, legacy data migration, logical data modeling, physical data modeling, database administration
? Experience with Oracle & SQL Server databases

Education/Certifications or equivalent required:
BA or BS degree in a related field required
