Position Summary
Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of a company, organization, or program's database.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
?Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes.
?Resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
?Supports DBA and Development team by designing installing, programming, and testing new databases and database objects as well as monitoring, managing and modifying (increase functionality of) existing databases
?Key functions to be performed are the design of Net-centric enterprise applications supporting DOD functions.

Supervisory Responsibilities
?May supervise other database personnel.

Education and/or Experience
?Bachelor's Degree
?Requires at least five years experience in the field, equivalent military experience, or in related area
?Combination of education and experience may be substituted.
?Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Software Knowledge
?Familiarity with web services, web pages, relational databases, routed networks and business intelligence systems is required
?Proficient in MS Office Suite
?ANSII Standard SQL, T-SQL, SQL+ or PL/SQL experience required.
?Experience writing T-SQL or PL/SQL stored procedures required.
?SQL Server and/or Oracle database administration experience desired.
?Database design experience required

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
?Must be able to obtain a interim clearance at the time of hire; upgradeable to a SECRET clearance
