Senior Database Engineer (SQL, Access, Oracle)
MUST be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
MUST have experience with Satellite Systems & databases
17 Month contract in Washington D.C.
1. The Contractor shall create and modify interface tables from queries of satellite manufacture provided command and telemetry databases (using MS ACCESS or SQL) to be used by database engineers as change tables for the formatted versions of the same Satellite ORACLE databases.
2. The Contractor shall create tables through MS ACCESS (or SQL) to be used as interface files (flat and/or database tables) for ground application software.
3. The Contractor shall test and validate changes have been correctly implemented and keep good records of changes.
4. The Contractor shall use UNIX shell scripts (or other language) to assist in file conversions (mostly re-formatting)
1. Qualifications
1. At least 3 years of experience in ?hands-on? database design and management.
2. Good inter-personal skills, able to work as an effective interface between operations engineers and software developers.
3. Familiar with UNIX and Window operation systems.
4. Experience in a variety of operations systems and SQL is desirable.
5. ORACLE database experience ? very desirable
6. Self-motivated, enthusiastic attitude and good communication skills.
