Senior Developer

The Sr. Developer is responsible for designing and developing a Vonage Open Source portal for 3rd party developers. This position requires a self-motivated person.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Design, develop, test, and document for Vonage Software Systems.
Communicate with customers; understand their requirements and/or clearly present system requirement and design to team members as well as other teams.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Vonage Software Systems.
Desired Skills:AJAX, XML,SIP, VoIP, etc to Call Proc
Java
Experience working in/with open source community.
Excellent communication skills (listening, persuasiveness, oral, and written)
Ability to work under high pressure and fast-paced development environment
Strong people skills (team orientation, outgoing, mentoring, sharing ideas, interpersonal relations)
Ability to support applications in production.

Strong C/C++ knowledge.
One of the following scripting languages Perl, Python,AGI.
Strong understanding of networking TCP/IP & UDP
Multi threading and socket programming
UNIX (Linux, Solaris, BSD etc)
Good understanding of Data Structure and Algorithms
Create APIs for existing applications / platforms to provide hooks for open source community
Familiar with MySQL
Strong documentation and design skills
Unit Test Automation.
Accurate in setting deadlines and meeting them
Superior language skills, both written and verbal.
Thrive in a fast paced, constantly changing, quick-turn-around environment.
