Senior Developer, Time Labor & Payroll

Designs, develops and supports large, complex applications or integrated suites of applications for use by Kelly Services internal and external customers. Conducts analysis of existing complex systems. Conducts analysis of existing complex systems. May also perform a team lead role. Conduct Analysis of existing complex integrated system. Some of the other duties are consulting with internal and external business partners to develop technical solutions to business problems and/or opportunities, which are cost effective and value added. Ensures development standards are defined and implemented and that development staff is educated on the use of standards. Contributes to project planning, control and status reporting functions for assignments/projects, including setting cost, schedule and performance. Trains, develops and mentors other engineers and technical staff. Consults with internal business partners, applications staff on appropriate technology's and applications to support the development of business solutions, which are cost effective and value added. Maintains in-depth understanding of application and technology architecture to insure designs support the architecture.


Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience required with applicable certifications preferred. At least 10 years of development experience with at least 3 years of PeopleSoft experience. Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment. Excellent communication, presentation, time management, problem solving and decision making skills. Expert knowledge of structured development methodologies and iterative development. Expert knowledge of development tools and database programming environments. Demonstrated leadership skills. Must have PeopleSoft Time & Labor and Payroll, PeopleTools/PeopleCode/Application Engine, Oracle SQL, PeopleSoft Integration Broker. SQR, Microsoft BizTalk, Vertex or Taxware and Mastertax would be a plus.
