We currently have a career opportunity at our Madison, NJ headquarters for a Senior Engineer, Applications Development

Corporate Information Services' mission is to partner with our clients to plan, develop and implement quality, business-driven solutions through the efficient and creative use of process, resources and technology. The Corporate IS Finance team serves to propose, implement and maintain computer system applications in support of Wyeth's Corporate Finance business functions (Controllers, Tax, and Internal Audit). Most of these functions are global in nature and require coordination and communication with 80+ affiliates in EMEA, AsiaPac, Latin and South America, as well as North America.

As a Senior Engineer (Project Manager), Corporate Information Systems, you will provide business analysis and recommend / implement automated solutions in support of financial processes. You will perform a wide range of tasks varying from individual contributor to project manager for medium to large-sized projects. In addition to Corporate Finance applications, you may also be called on to assist other IS application support teams as needed to balance resources with the project priorities of the larger Corporate IS group. Approximately 95% of application support responsibilities involve implementation and maintenance of vendor-supplied and/or outsourced applications. Of the 5% internally developed applications, many of these are delivered via coordination of internal and external development teams. Communication, coordination, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to assimilate and leverage new technology, are key attributes for the successful job applicant.

Responsibilities:


providing technical &/or project leadership for mid to large-scale projects

providing solutions to a wide range of difficult problems requiring creative solutions

initiating creative methods and collaborative problem solving

developing overall project plans and developing an action plan for meeting IT objectives and business unit solutions

working with clients to determine technology solutions with emphasis on systems integration

frequent inter-organizational and external contacts

Requirements:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

minimum of 7 years experience, or equivalent experience

minimum of 3 years experience working with financial applications, or a degree in Accounting / Finance is also required

Must have a minimum of 3 years project management experience including project planning, cost benefit, and financial analysis

Vendor and relationship/alliance management experience a must

Experience with SAP FI/CO as well as experience as Hyperion Enterprise administrator is highly desirable
