Senior Exchange Engineer
Description:
This position will be responsible for troubleshooting and solving complex Microsoft Exchange 2000 and 2003 problems. The position will provide 3rd level support for all aspects of the mindSHIFT and mindSHIFT customers email systems. This includes email system performance and optimization. The position will work with 3rd party vendors, e.g. Microsoft, RIM, Trend, etc. as needed to resolve issues as they arise. The ideal candidate will have past experience as an Exchange 2000 and 2003 administrator as well as experience with RIM Blackberry, Trend mail anti-virus services, and Goodlink.
Functions:Work cases for mindSHIFT and mindSHIFT customer email problems.Cases will include troubleshooting NDR?s, server configuration problems, site-wide email receipt/delivery problems, spam, email viruses, server recovery, etc.Ensure system performance optimization, maintenance and production.May assist in the design of corporate and customer applications systems as they relate to Microsoft Exchange.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:5+ years experience Exchange 2000 & 2003 Enterprise edition administration and design, Active Directory, Internet Information Server, 5.0+, SMTP, POP3, IMAP and LDAP.Past experience with Blackberry administration, Goodlink administration, Trend mail Anti-virus services, spam blocking software.Knowledge and experience of Microsoft operating systems such as Windows 2000, Windows 2003, and Windows XP.Working knowledge of communication and networking technologies such as hubs, routers, switches, and firewalls.High level of verbal and written communications.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of five (5) years experience with Exchange 2000, 2003, Active Directory. Associate's degree in computer science or closely related field; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
