Evaluate Operations Maintenance (OM) incidents, as appropriate, to judge whether or not they are justified (i. e. is the system performing as specified — not necessarily correctly).
Provide leadership in critical issue resolution, during war room process, batch process failure or at other critical time.
Facilitate the gathering of business requirements to support OM and work order activities as necessary.
Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in-scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan.
In conjunction with vendor Service Coordinators, package OM and work order efforts for hand-off to vendor (onsite or offshore) Initially, perform more difficult tasks that vendor cannot perform.
Assist vendor in duplication of incidents/problems.
Coordinate with non-dedicated-SMEs on root cause and problem duplication.
Validate/challenge all OM and work order estimates provided by vendor and escalate issues/concerns.
Assist Service Manager in scheduling OM and work order tasks including management of customer-driven priorities.
Provide estimates (or coordinate estimates from vendors) on all non-break/fix, non-problem-management activities.
Coordinate estimation and implementation of all work orders.
Ensure that adequate QA has been performed on all OM and work order activity prior to transfer to production (including customer acceptance as appropriate). Ensure that any upstream or downstream considerations have been addressed.
Ensure that all documentation has been updated (internally or by vendors).
Review testing plans and where needed, assist in test execution.
Help solve test environment and test data issues.
In conjunction with the Service Manager, execute the checklist for all new development being transferred to OM (Release Entry Framework) and document issues/concerns/risks. To the extent that a defect backlog is being transferred, determine the ability to support the backlog with current resources (or document need for additional support resources).
Identify and sponsor application performance improvement initiatives.
Facilitate the knowledge transfer from non-dedicated-SMEs to dedicated SMEs or vendor resources.
Qualifications:
Be able to work independently.
Operate successfully in stressful situations.
Deal effectively will multiple levels of technical and business management.
Have performed in a development or production support role, preferably with Siebel Financials (sales) or with another CRM (Peoplesoft, Clarify, SAP, etc.)
Healthcare experience is a plus.
Have 5 or more years of technical and experience.
Have strong verbal and written communications skills.
Be able to collaborate effectively with peers and development teams.
Have proven organization skills.
Have the ability to work effectively with peers in remote locations, including offshore.
Have strong analytical skills and ability to use judgment in managing resources effectively.
Customer Service focused with the ability to multi - task.
