Senior Information Architect

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Information Architect position will entail applying industry best practices to design

the structure and presentation of online content to support business and user needs. The

position will support the MetLife Corporate website as well as other MetLife internal and

external websites.

Principal Responsibilities:

?

- Design intuitive navigation and information design flows based on proven best practices

to meet business and user needs

- Gather and analyze business requirements to ensure appropriate messaging is communicated via the intranet, metlife.com and other websites

- Create personas, user scenarios and use cases to optimize online user experience

- Analyze content & recommend best approach for integration into the metlife.com and other metlife websites

- Assist in creation, documentation and communication of corporate user interface

- Participate in the creation of Enterprise eBusiness standards and guidelines for online

presence

- Analyze website metrics for path analysis and customer experience improvements

- Facilitate the ongoing evolution of efficient business processes

- Coordinate projects with lines of business, project teams and 3rd party vendors

- Organize and manage user research projects

- Assist in project planning

Required Competencies:

?- Information Architecture and web design experience a must

_ Experience with web content publishing desired

- Ability to create User interface documentation and specification (schematics, wireframes, navigation systems)

- Human factors/usability planning and implementation

- Task modeling and prototyping

- Business process analysis

- Application and page level information design

- Project planning and management

- Experience creating controlled vocabulary, taxonomy, metadata

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- HFI Certification, HTML, experience with Flash, a plus
