Senior Information Technology Consultant

Local Microsoft consulting firm is looking for Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers to join their workforce. Engineers are responsible for; designing and building solutions for complex critical projects including the design and implementation of internet and technology solutions and providing technical support to customers and sales.  

 

Responsibilities include network design and client technical service and support. Engineer will work with internal engineering, support, product, service center and IT group to develop and implement technical solutions.  A high-energy individual with a positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills is required.  5+ years in the telecommunications, information technology, and/or systems integration industries.  Demonstrated expertise in security, managed services, integrated solutions, hosting, IP-VPN, IPT, LAN/WAN internetworking, and Voice & Data services.  Candidate must have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.  MCSE and CCNA certification are highly desirable.  CISSP Security certification a plus.  

 

This is a Consulting position that will be responsible primarily for the infrastructure components of customer facing projects. Infrastructure components include but are not limited to the creation of logical and physical designs, server builds, application configuration and deployments, and scripting for automation of tasks. The Consultant is required to have experience (prefer enterprise level) in the following core Microsoft technologies:

? Microsoft Active Directory 2000 or 2003
? Microsoft Exchange

? Microsoft Internet Information Server 5.0 or 6.0
? Microsoft Office XP or 2003
? Windows Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP)

? Cisco Certified Network Associate

 



Experience with the following technologies is beneficial but not required:

? CISSP Security certification

? Microsoft ISA Server 2000 or 2004 or similar enterprise firewall product
? Microsoft Clustering
? Single Sign-on
? Hardware & Windows Load Balancing
