The candidate should:

- Have done Solid 4 to 5 years of Java programming.
- Have at least two years of IBM Websphere, IBM PortalServer or WebLogic application server experience

- Understand J2EE architecture very well - EJB, Servlet/JSP architecture (also preferably portlet paradigm)
- Knows design patterns, Struts etc
- Understands the performance implications in java/j2ee env, http session issues etc.
- Plan for deployments, code packaging etc.
