Senior JAVA Developer

Description: Northrop Grumman has an IMMEDIATE opportunity for a Java Developer to support the Trusted Wisdom program. In this position, you will analyze, enhance, install, test and modify enterprise-wide operating systems for both new and existing systems. Develops requirements, workflow and systems analysis. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Establishes standards for development and maintenance of new and existing products. Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies systems and/or applications software. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections. Interfaces between systems analysts/programmers and users located in a specialized area to ensure that information technology designs meet the needs of the end users within an organization.
General knowledge of other related disciplines. Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, and practicable, and consistent with organization objectives. Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Liaison
Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.

 

Qualifications:

In order for success, the candidate must process a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and have 7+ year software developement with 4+ years in Java development. Additional development experience the with following: Javascript, J2EE, D/HTML, CSS, AJAX, XML, DOM, Axis, SOAP, REST, Web Services, JSP, JSF, Hibernate, Struts, Spring, JUnit, Tomcat, UML, Oracle/SQL, and Photoshop/GIMP desired.
